Mathematics Sensitization Match

The 21st of November, 2014 was designated as Mathematics Day for the district. On this day, no exams were slated as the students were to be fully engaged in helping to sensitize the community about the importance of Mathematics and its very nature within a societal context. The students were scheduled to match through the Marchand community however the inclement weather made this event a non occurrence. Thanks to a pro-active department, an equally meaningful plan was devised quickly and as such the students engaged in their match but used the school’s grounds as the route for the event. The students were given the opportunity to create their posters, placards and other visual aids which were then used to chant and match the school’s grounds in attempt to appeal to their senses and the others who spectated as the march went on in full force.
